Cyclones

For applications were particles are greater than about 10 µm in diameter cyclones are used as collectors. This static equipment use the principle of the spiral motion of the gases and particles to induce their separation by the centrifugal motion of the particles.

Bag Filters

For applications were particles fall below 5 µm, the bag filters are the best choice. In some cases, the deep bed filter is one alternative design to the bag filter. The main parameter to follow in the option for bag filter or the deep filter, is the total amount of particles per specific volume of gases. In the cases of clear air, with low particles contents, the bag filter is the option. In the other cases, the option is the deep bed filter, that exposes a higher capacity.
