TECNIA designs, builds and installs, wet scrubbers and systems based on this technology, when the gases
and/or removed particles are corrosive, very hot or in special cases where the filter bag media may not
support the removed pollutant.
All TECNIA's CHEMICAL WET SRUBBER models are specially sized and designed to absorb gaseous compounds, acid mists
and odours through the counter-current flow of gases and scrubbing liquid over a packed section. This unit is
meant to operate at a very low pressure drop, thereby reducing power consumption and energy costs. The design
and location of internal parts eliminates gas channelling and assures trouble-free operation as there are no
moving parts. All models are easily adapted to new or retrofit applications and no support structure is required.
Gases enter the CHEMICAL WET SRUBBER tower through a wide inlet area providing an even distribution of gases
throughout the tower. Even distribution of the gases flowing counter-current with the scrubbing liquid increases
contact time with the packing material, assuring the proper chemical reaction/absorption time needed to effectively
remove contaminants from the gas stream.
